Wildflowers sown at the sailing academy (large version)

Six hectares of chalk and limestone cuttings are being transformed into a landscape of local grassland and wildflowers.

A lot of care is being taken to select appropriate local species of grass and wildflower to ensure they fit in with the surrounding natural landscape.

    Is it me, or is this a picture of Weymouth & Portland Sailing Academy?

      Yes it is. Our Natural Environment colleagues worked with the sailing academy to ensure that the area was landscaped with local wildflowers. We’re hoping that the cuttings of the relief road will look even better!
