One step closer

Chalk layer, now starting to be stabilised, is clearly visible in April (large version)

Work has started on stabilising the chalk foundation layer of the relief road.

The stabilisation process mixes approximately the top 20cm of the chalk layer already laid with cement to create a solid foundation of the road.

Work on this foundation layer really does signify the road being one step closer to opening.
