What are the parking arrangements? Do we have to park on the old Broadmayne road or the new one? Great idea. We will be there.

      Hi Geoff,

Parking arrangements are being made by Weldmar Hospicecare Trust, with a park & ride facility being made available from Dorchester Football Club.

For further details you can contact Sue Leighton on 01305 215320.

Great idea, it’s a shame it’s not the entire length from Manor Roundabout.

I totally agree. I shall definitely be taking my partner and the kids along. Will feel very special to be one of the very first members of public to be up close and personal with it. Lets hope its dry

      Hi Mark,

Unfortunately the walk can only take place on the northern section of the road which is largely complete, whereas the southern section has got a lot of construction underway and is still very much a construction site.

This has meant that the walk could not go past Icen Lane for safety reasons.

The relief road will be open to traffic as soon as the southern section is finished. The period of time between when the southern section would be suitable for a charity walk and the time when it is open to traffic will be fairly short, so there simply won’t be sufficient time to schedule a charity walk along the whole length of the scheme.
